Arsenal will miss a number of key players for the opening match against West Bromwich Albion. Tomas Rosicky (hamstring), Abou Diaby (thigh) and Eduardo da Silva (broken leg) will miss action for a number of weeks, while players like Cesc Fabregas, Kolo Toure, Philippe Senderos, and Samir Nasri are also facing injury problem and missed last Wednesday’s Champions League match. Wenger told Arsenal TV On-Line: "Nasri should be okay (for Saturday). A reasonable target for Fabregas is the second leg of the Champions League game, but Diaby will take four to six weeks."
Arsenal completed the signing of French international midfielder Samir Nasri from Marseille for 12 million pounds early last month.
West Bromwich Albion will miss defender Neil Clement who has been ruled out of the match with knee injury. In his place, defender Abdoulaye Meite will play his debut match against Arsenal.
