Chelsea Interested to Sign Robinho from Real Madrid

Chelsea is interested to sign Real Madrid’s Brazilian striker Robinho in what it would be Chelsea’s final signing for summer transfer window. Chelsea had talks with Robinho’s agent Wagner Ribeiro. Though the amount Chelsea needs to pay for Robinho is not yet finalized, reports have it that Chelsea would not spend more than £30 million for the Brazilian star.

Earlier, Chelsea was linked with AC Milan’s Kaka, but recently it has been confirmed that the club made no bid for Kaka; rather is totally focused on Robinho. Chelsea’s chief executive, Peter Kenyon, has confirmed that Robinho is one of their targets and he believes the star will add a great deal to Chelsea.

After signing Jose Bosingwa and Deco, coach Luiz Felipe Scolari now needs one more player to make his brigade perfect for the next season. Though Chelsea will not sign any more players if they can sign Robinho, the club has already put midfielder Florent Malouda up for sale and reports have it that Italian club Roma is interested to sing Malouda and already made an offer of £10.3 million, which is a bit lower that what Chelsea is demanding.
