Sania Mirza is 32nd Seed in Wimbledon 2008

Indian tennis star Sania Mirza goes into Wimbledon 2008 tennis tournament as 32^nd seed. Sania came back in action recently after missing French Open 2008 with wrist injury. Wimbledon 2008 gets underway from 23 June and Sania is now gearing up herself to be back in grand slam tournament with her prime form. Sania Mirza has been ranked 33 according to the recently updated WTA ranking.

Sania experienced her best Wimbledon performance last year when she was eliminated from the third round and Indian fans are eagerly waiting to see their favorite star in another grand slam tournament. Sania Mirza will face C Castano of Columbia in the first round. Then in the third round, it could be a rematch of Sania Mirza’s Australian Open 2008 encounter with Venus Williams at the same stage. Mirza was eliminated from Australian Open 2008 after losing the match to Venus Williams.

Well, Indian fans would like to Sania marching past Venus this time around, though it would not be that much easier for the Indian star. Now, let us see if Sania Mirza can regain her top form and can show some of her best tennis in Wimbledon 2008 tennis tournament which her fans are looking for now.
