It was a match that Liverpool needed to win. It is not that Liverpool is going to at the top of English premier league with this one. However, this match is very important for another reason. As far as the English premier league is concerned, even most die heart fans of Liverpool are not that hopeful that Liverpool can be in the third position in this season. At this moment, Liverpool is trialing Arsenal by five points and Arsenal is in the third position. So, the English premier league matches are almost finishing for the season and Liverpool fans re not that hopeful of even securing the third position. The only thing they are happy perhaps that they have been able to secure a UEFA Champions League position for next year.
Well, in today’s match, Jermaine Pennant and Peter Crouch scored the two goals. The match took place at the home stadium of Fulham and that is why, it was an away match for Liverpool. Liverpool played very well and won the match. Fulham fans wanted to win the match because they wanted to get away of the religion position totally. In fact, because of this lose, Fulham is now in 19th position. If it stays this way then in next season Fulham may be relegated. I told you that this match was very important for Liverpool for another reason. In fact, Liverpool was going to play against Chelsea this Tuesday in the first leg of semi final in Champions league. So, this was a good practice for Liverpool. They could win at Fulham. However, the only bad news is that Liverpool star player Steven Gerrard got injured and he is doubtful for the first leg of Champions League semi final against Chelsea.
