India vs Australia Third ODI 2007 Detailed Preview

India vs Australia 3rd ODI match will be held on the 5 October 2007. India lost in the second ODI. So, Australia is now leading in the series by 1-0 as the first ODI match was washed out due to rain. Indian players could not show any resistance in the first two matches. So, Indian fans are now hoping to see some impressive performances from the Indian players. Neither Indian batsmen nor bowlers could play well in the second ODI match of the seven match ODI series against Australia.

Indian fans expected some special performance from Indian players as they have won the Twenty20 world cup recently. No doubt, India’s performance was tremendous in the Twenty20 world cup. However, they could not continue their performance in the ODI series against Australia. On the other hand, Australia was under pressure before the series as they had earlier lost to India in the semi final match of Twenty20 world cup. I think, Indian. Moreover, Australia was also missing some key players ahead of the ODI series. So, it was a challenge for Australia to regain their dominance in the cricket world. Though it is not the right time to say that Australian cricketers have successfully regain their lost dominance, it is true that they have come back in the right track and they are now favorite to win the ODI series against India.

Indian cricketers were not up to the mark in the series. Australia scored 300 plus score in both ODI matches. Their batsmen are now in good from. Indian bowlers failed to come up with any impressive performance except Irfan Pathan. I think, Pathan should be given the new ball as he is now in good form now. He is the only bowler whom Australian batsmen could not go for. Irfan Pathan played crucial role in India’s Twenty20 world cup triumph. Though Sreesanth got three wickets, he was very expensive. Harbhajan Singh also failed to continue his twenty20 world cup performance in the second match. On the other hand, Australian batsmen like Mathew Hayden, Andrew Symonds, Michael Clarke and Brad Haddin are now in good form. So, in the upcoming third ODI match they might be vital for India. In contrast to the Australian batsmen, India’s star seeded batting line up failed to show their natural performance. India missed their star batsman Sourav Ganguly in the second ODI match. He is expected to return in the second match.

India needs to win the third ODI match in order to bring level in the series. Indian lost their last ODI series against England. So, India needs to win this series in order to bring their ODI form back and that is why, both Indian batsmen and bowlers should be up to the mark in the third ODI series.

I think, Australia is favorite in the series despite knowing that India will play at home. The way Australian players are playing, it reveals their determination to play well. They have many talented players who can take away the match single handedly. So, they have better chance to win the series. However, the current squad of Indian team looks balanced. They have some experienced and young players. So, India has the ability to bounce back in the series. Let us see if Indian team can really come back in the series winning the third OID match of the series.
