Twenty20 World Cup: Brett Lee Becomes the First Hat Trick Man in Twenty20 Cricket

Australian speed star Brett Lee has recorded the first hat trick of Twenty2o cricket against Bangladesh in their first Super Eight match of Twenty2o world cup 2007. Lee took the wickets of Shakib al Hasan, Mashrafe Mortaza and Alok Kapali in three consecutive balls in the 17th over of Bangladesh innings. This star pacer started with Shakib al Hasan making him caught behind when he was 16. It was the third ball of the over. Then Bangladesh vice captain Mashrafe Mortaza got played on in his next ball of the over. At last, it was Alok Kapali whom Lee made leg before wicket. Thus, Brett Lee became the first ever hat trick man of Twenty20 cricket. The interesting thing is that Alok Kapali is the only Bangladeshi bowler who has hat trick in international cricket for Bangladesh.

Brett Lee is a great bowler and after the fare well of McGrath, Lee is the strike bowler of Australian team. Lee had to miss the last ICC world cup because of falling in a sudden injury just before the tournament. It seems that he wants to enjoy the Twenty20 world cup with great impact. Now, let us see if to what extent Brett Lee can help Australia to win the Twenty20 world up 2007. Only time can give the best answer of it.
