Twenty20 World Cup 2007: South Africa Defeats New Zealand

South Africa has won their second match in Super Eight round against New Zealand. With this win, South Africa is now very near to enter into the semi final round of Twenty20 world cup 2007. Earlier South Africa has won against England in the first match in Super Eight stage. South African won over New Zealand by 6 wickets.

Winning the toss, South Africa sent New Zealand in batting. New Zealand openers started their innings in style putting on 68 runs within 8.2 overs. However, in the middle order only Craig McMillan could bat well. Craig McMillan scored 48 not out facing just 25 balls that lead New Zealand to reach at 153 runs losing 8 wickets after 20 overs.

Chasing 154 runs, South Africa batted really very well. They had good plan and they could finish the match by 6 wickets. So, their run rate is now also impressive which will help them if India can win their last two matches of Super Eight stage. Justin Kemp played a brilliant innings of 80 facing 56 balls with 6 boundaries and 6 over boundaries. So, South Africa will be inspired to win their last match against India in order to confirm their semi final entrance. Now, let us see how India confronts the determined South Africa in their last Super Eight match.
