Twenty20 World Cup 2007: Sourav Ganguly is optimistic about Indian team

Saurav Ganguly is confident about his team’s performance in the on going Twenty20 World Cup. He said that the India team will perform well adjusting the weather of South Africa. About their loss in the Nat West series in England Ganguly said that it was true that they did not win but it would not be fare to say that they gave a poor performance.

"Just because we lost that match, it would not be proper to brand us chokers. Prior to the England series, we came back from behind to beat South Africa 2-1 at Belfast," he said.

Ganguly said that the Indians did not feel any extra pressure in the final. "Pressure is part and parcel in international cricket. We are used to it."

The former Indian skipper who put up a good show in the Test and one-day series said that back-to-back tours of Ireland and England did not pose any problem for the Indians. "This is how international cricket schedule is. And we are familiar with it."

Ganguly said he was sorry that he could not see off their team but he will definitely talk to them after they return from the world cup tournament.
