Twenty20 World Cup 2007: Dhoni Faces Criticisms on India’s 10 Run Defeat

Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has said that India needs to learn about Twenty20 cricket after the 10 run lose to New Zealand in their first Super Eight match of Twenty20 world cup. Now, India has only two matches at hand and India has to win both the matches in order to play in the semi final round of Twenty20 world cup 2007.

After losing the close match, Dhoni faces some criticisms because of some of his decision. To many, Dhoni should not have given the ball to Yuvraj Singh for his third over. Yuvraj conceded 25 runs in his third overs. So, in such a close match, conceding 25 runs means to losing the control in the match.

Newindpress reported:
Dhoni was quite candid at the post match media conference and accepted his players still had a lot to learn about this new version of cricket.
"We need to learn how to bowl at the death. As the ball is not old it does not reverse swing and that creates a problem. Also we lost wickets at regular intervals otherwise the start provided by (Gautam) Gambhir and (Virender) Sehwag was great and we should have won," the Indian captain conceded.

Indian middle order and lower order batsmen could not impress with their performance. So, now Indian fans want to their batsmen in good form and India win the last two super eight matches and get into the semi final of Twenty20 world cup.
