Miss Leilah Pandy: Representing Belize in Miss World for the first time

Belize is a small South American country. For the first time, it is sending delegate to Miss Earth. Miss Leilah Pandy, is going to represent Belize in the upcoming Miss Earth 2007. Belizean.com reports:

Miss Pandy was crowned Miss Belize in 2003 and represented Belize at Miss Universe 2004. She won Miss Costa Maya in 2003 and was third runner up and Miss Culture and Miss Academic at Miss Mesoamerica International held in Las Vegas, Nevada in September, 2003.

Miss Pandy will engage in a series of events leading up to her departure for the Philippines on October 17, 2007.

Margaret Johnson, Pageant’s Belize director said that the time was right for Belize to increase its participation in international pageants. Pandy was chosen by Pageant’s Belize Ltd. The company is going to send four delegates to four major beauty competitions: Miss Earth, Miss World, Miss International and Miss Universe. On September 8th, Pageant’s Belize declared Miss Belize Universe, Miss Belize International. Miss Felicita Arzu will participate in the upcoming Miss World Pageant in November this year.
