India will play their first match of Twenty20 world cup 2007 against Scotland. Now, ahead of the tournament opener, Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni got the support of India’s ODI and Test team captain Rahul Dravid. Indian batting star Dravid has recently said that Dhoni is the right man to captain India and he thinks that Dhoni will do well in the tournament.
Getting such support from Rahul Dravid, naturally, Dhoni will be inspired to play well and lead India towards winning the championship. It is needless to say that much of India’s success depends on the hard hitting batting of Dhoni. This is the first time Dhoni will lead Indian. So, undoubtedly there will have some extra pressure on him. Howver, according to Dravid, Mahendra Singh Dhoni has a good head and personality to lead India in the Twenty20 world cup
India will play their first match agasint Scotland at Kingsmead, Durban on 13 September 2007. India will meet their arch rival Pakistan in their last gropu stage match on 14 September 2007.
