Women’s World Cup 2007 football tournament is now knocking at the door. The fifth edition of women’s world cup will star on 10 September 2007 in China. This is going to be second Women’ world cup tournament in China. The first ever Women’s world cup was also held in China in 1991. Each team will represent their countries in the tournament. Initially, all of the 16 teams have to take part in group stage matches. There will be four groups of four teams each. Besides USA and defending champion Germany, there will be some other favorite teams who can win the title of Women’s world cup 2007. Norway, Sweden, China, Brazil, Argentina have the capability to win the upcoming women’s world cup.

Opening Ceremony To Present the Beauty and Strength

Opening ceremony of Women’s world cup football 2007 will be held at Hongkou Football Stadium, Shanghai. The ceremony will star on 8 September, 2007. The whole world is now waiting for a colorful opening ceremony of the competition. Opening ceremony is always attractive and fans always expect a lucrative opening ceremony for an international tournament. Hongkou Football Stadium, Shanghai has recently been renovated because of Women’s world cup 2007.

The opening ceremony will be a 30 minute long colorful ceremony with the presentation of a pool of performers. During the 30 minutes long opening ceremony there will be five segments which will be presented worldwide. Now, it is natural that fans are eagerly waiting for these 30 minutes. Performer will show a sea of roses in the stadium and there will be lots of footballs and football costumes during the ceremony. Among the 1800 performers, 1600 are girls who are from secondary school and University of Shanghai. For the football fans there will also be a cartoon made on a football match. Fans will enjoy the humorous cartoon. Music will also be there in the opening ceremony. The theme song of the competition will be sung by Wei Wei. Several Chinese bands and artists will also perform in the ceremony. I think, the opening ceremony will present the Chinese culture to the fans around the world. It is natural that the host country always tries to present their culture and heritage. China will also do the same in the opening ceremony of Women’s world cup 2007.

Fifa President Sepp Blatter along with 355 delegates will be present at the opening ceremony and some football matches. Having got the ball from Blatter, a famous footballer will launch the tournament. However, tournament committee has not revealed the name of this famous footballer. So, it is expected to be a big surprise for the Women’s world cup 2007.

Chinese organizers are ready for the upcoming women’s world cup. All the stadiums and practice grounds have been checked by Fifa. Women’s world cup will held in five venues.
