US Open 2007: Kellen Damico Earns Wild Card Entry

Playing in a Grand Slam Tennis tournament is a big dream for many people. Many tennis players dream of it and try for it and never get it in their whole life. So, you can easily imagine that Kellen Damico is very happy at this moment to get the opportunity to play in the doubles in US Open 2007 as a wild card entry. He and his partner Nate Schnugg have got this opportunity and we will see them in the doubles event of US Open Tennis 2007.

Texas Sports reported:

Damico and doubles partner Nate Schnugg entered the event as the top seed and made a dominant title run, which culminated with a 7-5, 6-3 win over the fifth-seeded tandem of Tyler Hochwalt and Michael McClune.

As a result, Damico and Schnugg, who captured the boys' doubles title at the 2006 Wimbledon Junior Championships, earned a wild card berth into the men's doubles draw at the upcoming U.S. Open, which kicks off on Monday, Aug. 27 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, N.Y.

I would love to see them perform well in US Open 2007. If wild card players perform well then it spices the tournament.
