Fiji has unveiled their 30 men squad for Rugby World Cup 2007. Their coach Ilivasi Tabua has given more importance on younger players in the squad. The squad includes only four players who have played over 30 matches for Fiji. Fly half Nicky Little has appeared for Fiji in 60 international matches. The other three veteran players are Norman Ligairi, scrum half Mosese Rauluni and Sisa Koyamaibole.
On the other hand, about half of the team members have not played more than 9 matches and nine players appeared for Fiji in less than five matches. Wing Rupeni Caucau has been out of the squad as he is now in three match suspension because of being positive drug test.
Fiji reached at the quarter final of first world cup rugby of 1987. That was the best ever performance of Fiji in world cup. Fiji will play in Pool B along with Australia, Wales, Japan and Canada. Fiji will play their opening match against Japan on 12 September 2007.
