Starhub unveiled its 3.5G mobile broadband service yesterday, promising not just speedier surfing on the go but possibly -- for the first time -- live English Premier League (EPL) action on the small screen.
The so-called 3.5G service lets users surf the Net wirelessly 18 times faster than 3G services launched here more than two years ago.
StarHub, which owns the EPL broadcast rights here, had previously told The Straits Times that it was thinking of showing live matches on cellphones and broadband PCs.
Interested users will have to pay a small monthly fee and most fans of EPL would not mind for that monthly fee. However, I am just curious to see if Starhub can deliver fast speed so that the users can really enjoy the matches live in real time.
