The Tour de France 2007: Live in Ten Sports TV Channel

If you are in South Asia and in the Middle East then you are in luck as you can enjoy The Tour de France 2007 live in Ten Sports TV channel. It is true that there are not too many fans of cycling in Asia but the funny part is that there is largest number of bicycles in Asia. Think of China and India. Millions of people in these two countries use cycle on a daily basis. In fact, cycles are common among people of lower income groups both in the rural and urban areas. And what can be the bigger event than The Tour de France 2007.

Ten Sports is a very popular sports channel in many countries of Asia.

About the live coverage of The Tour de France, ten Sports has written in its website:

One of the greatest sporting events of the year returns to Ten Sports this week as the Tour de France prepares to set off from an unusual start point – London in England. The 126 mile route between London and the county town of Canterbury in Kent will be a far cry from the mountains of the Alps and Pyrenees on which the Tour has built its fearsome reputation. However, it’s proof of the sport’s international appeal that Britain has claimed the start legs of the tour for 2007. For triple British gold medalist Bradley Wiggins, the start is a dream come true, and he may well make some of the early running in front of his home fans.

The event will run for 23 days and about 2,200 miles before the champagne fuelled finish in Paris on July 29th. As cyclists from all over the world look to take on the reputation of Lance Armstrong and other former greats, watch out for the likes of Kazakhstan’s Alexander Vinokourov, who could be swopping his pale blue team jersey for the yellow jersey of the overall leader. The race will move South to the Spanish border before heading back to Paris.

Despite the drug fuelled controversy of recent years, the Tour is sure to attract massive crowds, particularly on the mountain stages where every inch of the way is covered by fans desperate for a momentary glimpse of some of the worlds remarkable athletes.

Ten Sports will show every day of the event live, featuring commentary from Tour de France legends Phil Liggett and Paul Sherwin as the cyclists make their way through some of the most beautiful sights in Europe.

The good thing is that in most of the Asian countries, The Tour de France 2007 will be broadcast live in evening or in night local times. So, most people can enjoy the event live. My suggestion is that first watch it live and then decide for yourself if you can continue watching Tour de France 2007 live. You have still a number of days to decide.
