Sara Ghulam: Miss World Canada 2007

Sara Ghulam is just 17 years old and she is the youngest girl to win the title of Miss Canada. From her name, you can easily imagine that she is from Asia. Actually, she is from a multiracial background. Fortunately, she has a website and in her website she wrote:

Sara is in her final year of high school and plans on attending George Brown College or Seneca College in September to study Business Administration and Marketing. A talented singer and dancer, her career ambition is to work in the entertainment field as an internationally recognized singer, writer and producer and eventually to own her own recording studio. From a multicultural family of Pakistani, Indian, Maltese and Scottish backgrounds, her hobbies include listening, singing and creating all forms of music, cooking, writing, playing volleyball and Go-Kart racing.

So, from this description, you can easily know some about her. Well, I am not happy with her website as Sara has not put anything in the contact, interview and news part. OFr example, I am interested to take her interview but I could not find any way. Even, the guest book section of the website of Sara Ghulam is password protected. So, I felt disappointed. Well, I do not blame her either. She is just 17 and you cannot expect her to run her own website at this age. Having said that, I have to admire Sara Ghulam for the excellent photo gallery in her website.

I found a press release in the official website of Miss Canada about Sara Ghulam becoming Miss Canada World 2007. I am giving a part of it here:

17-year-old Sara Ghulam of Pickering, ON won the 2007 Miss World Canada title at the Dominion Club at 1 King West in downtown Toronto on Sunday night. 29 contestants from across Canada participated.

She is the youngest woman to win the Miss World Canada title. Ghulam, who also won the Talent Award, will now compete at the Miss World Contest in Poland this September with over 110 other national titleholders across the globe.

Ghulam is in her final year of high school and is a talented vocalist, who hopes to work in the entertainment field. Ghulam won the talent award which was held at the Windsor Arms Hotel. Sara is from a multicultural family of Pakistani, Indian, Maltese and Scottish backgrounds.

In addition to winning the Talent Award, Ghulam won prize for Best in Evening Gown, while placing as a finalist in both the Point Zero Ocean Swimwear and the Interview Competition during the pageant finals. Among her prizes for winning the crown are a $5,000 cash prize and over $5,000 in services courtesy of Pure Med Spa. Ghulam will also receive an all-expenses paid trip to Poland, a couture wardrobe, a year's supply of Revlon hair care products, hair services by Fiorio Salons, cosmetics by Faces Cosmetics, photo shoots by Chocolate Image, accessories by Bittersweet, Point Zero Ocean Swimwear, and much more
