Miss Deaf World 2007

Miss Deaf World 2007 can you believe it? Well, you may not believe but it has just been held in Prague. This year, 25 year old Bao Quing Ling from China had been crowned Miss Deaf World 2007. The Hindu reports:

A total of nineteen girls from as many countries took part in the competition in the annual contest.

Bao, a 25-year-old dancer from the Dalian troupe of the disabled people, won the title with her superb interpretation of the classical tragic Chinese love story titled Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai.

“I have dreamed of a Miss Deaf World title for so long. My dream comes true in Prague,” a tearful Bao told Xinhua in sign language.

The title of first vice-miss went to 21-year-old Kristina Weber from Germany, and the second vice-miss to 18-year-old Nila Kudlyk from Ukraine.

Now days, so many beauty competitions are happening around the world but all of them only talk about perfect women. Well what about the imperfect women? I think this is an interesting contest and I am expecting more of it next year.
