PlayStation Portable (PSP) from Sony is perhaps a very hot news in the mobile phone industry now. There are rumors that Sony is going to bring out a PlayStation Portable (PSP) mobile phone very soon. It seems that Sony has filed patent application in the US detailing a "mobile device with gaming functionality". So, many people are now busy with thinking how fast Sony Ericsson will develop this device and bring it in the market.
It seems that PSP mobile phone is not coming so soon after all.

Sony told Reuters that it is not poised to launch a phone based on the PSP, but did not rule out the possibility of such a device in the future.
"We are continually evaluating other propositions but they have to be credible," said Sony Ericsson spokeswoman Merran Wrigley.
"We are not interested in sticking parts on phones that destroy the brand equity that has been built up by Sony."
So, bad news for the gamers and mobile phone users alike. Of course, this kind of PSP phone would be expensive and will be out of reach for most people in the third world countries.
