Russian economy is flourishing and Russia is becoming into a great market for the latest gadgets. Don’t forget that Russia is still the largest country in the world in terms of size. So, mobile phones with GPS facility will always be handy in this very vast country. GIGABYTE Communications officials are hoping that their GSmart i300 GPS Phone will become popular in Russia.

GIGABYTE Communications has launched this phone recently in the country. I found a news release from the website of the company.

Here is the news release:

GIGABYTE Communications unveils GSmart i300,

its first GPS phone that combine the benefits of PDA phone and GPS navigator together

in a compact and sleek design. Moreover, GSmart i300 will be exclusively retailing via Euronetwork in Russia.

Powered by SiRF Star III chipset, GSmart i300 fulfills every demand of modern day commuters. Its GPS Navigation helps you get to your destinations with minimum fuse. Through a fully integrated GPS receiver, you can pinpoint your current location on an on-screen map and view the best route to your next appointment.

Its Track Recognition feature enables you to save and recall the best routes to places you have been to whenever you need it. Moreover, you can tell others where you are by sending a Location Message via SMS to them. GSmart i300 can even suggest the best route for those who will come to see you.

With Windows Mobile 5.0 AKU 3.0 Push Email technology, GSmart i300 users can access work data in Word, Excel, or PowerPoint and enjoy real time email anywhere. Speedy mobile internet access via WI-FI or GPRS is also compulsory. In addition, GSmart i300 is the first GPS PDA phone that comes with USB2.0 for faster data transfer than ever.

Good for the Russian consumers. I wish I could have one. Of course, this mobile phone will be way beyond my purchasing capacity.
