Hollywood Being Decorated for Oscar 2007

Millions of Hollywood fans around the world are eagerly waiting for 79th Academy Awards (Oscar 2007). There are just 6 days left before the grand event takes place. So, the time has come to close some streets in that area.

Abc7 reported:

The street closures around the Hollywood & Highland center are planned to accommodate the construction of press risers, fan bleachers and pre-show stages along the red carpet in advance of next Sunday's Oscars ceremony.

Beginning at 10 Sunday night, Hollywood Boulevard will be closed between Highland Avenue and Orange Drive. It will reopen at 6 a.m. Monday, but close again at 10 in the evening, and remain off-limits to traffic until Feb. 27 at 6 a.m.

MTA subway trains will bypass the Hollywood and Highland station after the last regularly scheduled train on Feb. 24, until 6 a.m. Feb. 26. Service at the station will resume with the first scheduled train after 6 a.m.

Of course, security is a important matter too. So, it is nice that the streets are getting closed in that area. On the other hand, the workers in Hollywood are extremely busy for giving the final minute finishing touch to their decoration for Oscar 2007.
