Nineteen year old Miss Manawatu Claire Kirby has been declared Miss Earth New Zealand 2007 at Miss Earth New Zealand beauty pageant held in Auckland on 2^nd September. Along with Claire Kirby, Miss Manawatu 2006 Rachel Croft were also chosen to represent New Zealand in the upcoming Miss Earth 2007. Manawatu Standard reports:

Miss Kirby, who works at Passion Deli & Cafe in Feilding, told The Tribune she didn't think she had a chance of winning as she thought her hair and make-up didn't look the best. She also felt she'd made a number of "mistakes" including running late for the swimwear parade and, feeling flustered, struggling to undo the knot she'd tied in her sarong. The seven contestants also had to model ballgowns and cocktail dresses and give a three-minute speech - Miss Kirby spoke about her trip to India last year. Contestants were interviewed by the judges and asked about the message they would take to the environmentally themed pageant.

Now, Miss Kirby is looking for a sponsor who would pay up for her dresses in the competition. Miss Earth New Zealand 2006 Annelise Burton took twenty dresses with her. The problem with dressing up is that Claire is an out door person and she does not bother much about dressing but after winning the competition she has become serious.

I tried a lot but I could not find the official website of Miss Bulgaria. It is difficult for me to accept that there is no official website of Miss Bulgaria. MNay be there is but I cannot find it out in Google search because I don’t know the language. Anyway, we are trying to cover all the contestants of Miss World 2007.

Julia Jurevich is Miss Bulgaria World 2007. She became Miss Bulgaria in March 16, 2007. She is from Kozloduy. She is just 17 years old. So, you can easily understand that she is very smart or at least smart enough to beat many competitors who were older than her in age.

Annelien Coorevits: Miss Belgium 2007

Annelien Coorevits is a lucky girl as she became Miss Belgium 2007. However, she is lucky for another reason. Kamidia Radisti Becomes Miss Indonesia 2007

Kamidia Radisti has become the Miss Indonesia 2007. The 23 year old student of Economics at Padjadjaran University, Kamidia will represent Indonesia in the Miss World 2007 competition that will be held in China. Kamidia is also a good swimmer and she took part in swimming competition at national level. Judges have chosen Kamidia Radisti among the 34 contestants but before that all the participants had to go through different stages including the answering question stage.

Kamidia, 23, will receive the winning prize of Rp 75 million (US$8,300) in cash and represent Indonesia in Miss World 2007.
An avid swimmer who has competed nationally, Kamidia also participated in the 2006 Wajah Femina or Femina Face competition where she was a finalist. She studies economics at Padjadjaran University and is in her sixth semester.
Verna Gladies Merry Ingkiriwang, of Central Sulawesi was crowned first runner up; the 23-year-old medical student at Samratulangi University will receive Rp 35 million.

Jamaica Introduces New Format for the Miss Jamaica World 2007 Competition

Miss World 2007 beauty pageant will be held in December 2007. So, the contestant countries are now arranging beauty pageant competition in order to find their representative to the Miss World 2007 competition. Miss Jamaica 2007 beauty competition will be held on November 1, 2007. Ahead of the competition, authority is going to introduce a new format. Earlier, any interested contestant could send their information through email and could get chance to appear before the judges. However, according to new format, a panel of judges will scrutinize the list and send invitation card to the selective contestants who will later on appear before the judges.

Jamaica Gleaner reported:

"We constantly reinvent ourselves," he said. "The new system will be a less traumatic event, so to speak. It's especially good for the girls who live abroad.
They wouldn't have to waste their time to come down and be disappointed," he explained. The new format is also more private as the first time the wider public will see any of contestants is at the swimwear and sportswear presentation and sashing on Saturday July 14, at the Sovereign Centre. He joked that in years past at the public elimination shows, some persons came to the pre-judgings/eliminations to witness the slip-ups of the prospective candidates.
"We feel this (the system) is very efficient and even some girls who might not have entered before may do so now," he added. The finalists will undergo the usual intensive training in grooming, stage presentation, speech and physical conditioning. The pageant finals will be staged August 18 at the Jamaica Pegasus hotel.

The authority is also trying to make the competition more private for the contestants in order to increase the number of competitors. Miss World is a popular competition throughout the world. So, Jamaica is now trying to send the best contestant to this prestigious competition

Sara Ghulam is just 17 years old and she is the youngest girl to win the title of Miss Canada. From her name, you can easily imagine that she is from Asia. Actually, she is from a multiracial background. Fortunately, she has a website and in her website she wrote:
