Arsenal Trailing 1-2 in Half Time Against Bolton: Live Report

It is half time at the Emirates Stadium and no, Arsenal is not leading. Bolton is leading by 2-1. Arsenal was the better team but Bolton got the goals. The first goal was scored by Gary Cahill in the 7th minute. Arsenal defense could not clear the ball well and the ball was hanging in the penalty area and that gave Gary Cahill the chance to score the first goal for his club from a close range shot. Matthew Taylor scored the second goal from a penalty in the 27th minute. Denlison blocked Chung-Yong Lee in a bad way and the referee ordered the penalty. After that Arsenal players pushed more and more and attacked one after another.
In the first half Arsenal players 7 attempts on target compared to just two of Bolton. In the 43rd minute, Tomas Rosicky fired a strong volley from the edge of the penalty area. The Bolton goalkeeper was shocked and he could not do anything but watch the ball passing beside him.  
No player from either side was shown any card. If Arsenal wants to win the match then in the second half, they have to convert some of the chances they can create.

Bolton Loses to Arsenal 2-0 in Owen Coyle Debut

It was the managerial debut for Bolton Coach Owen Coyle. It was a home match for Bolton and the new manager and supporters expected that the club will get a point from Arsenal. However, the presence of Cesc Fàbregas changed the calculation and in the end Arsenal had a comfortable win with 2-0. The Gunners scored one goal each in the both half and the first goal in fact came from none other than captain Cese Fabregas himself. The first goal was scored at the 28th minute and half time Arsenal was leading by one goal to nil. In the second half, it was Merida who got the goal in the 78th minute and it finished any hope of Bolton coming back to the match.
With this win, Arsenal has now 45 points from 21 matches and they are just two points behind Manchester United. Although Manchester United has played one match more and they are now they are trailing by just 3 points from leader Chelsea.

Arsenal vs Bolton 6 January 2009 Match Won’t Take Place

Arsenal vs Bolton match was supposed to take place later tonight. Due to snow in London, this match will not take place today. The condition inside the Emirates Stadium was workable for the match but there was concerns for traveling and safety of the fans who would come to enjoy the match. This would come at a disappointing news to many supporters of the club as if Arsenal could win today then they would go to the second position in the league table.
The date of this match will be announced later and the fans who already bought a ticket wont need to buy again and this ticket would work.
