An
independent research team is going to conduct a survey and research on
“Effective Use of Laptop in Education and Business.” The main objective of this
research is to find out- how laptop is being used in education and
business sector in the country, problems laptop users are facing in these two
sectors, necessity of laptop usage and desired laptop features of the users.
A preparatory meeting took
place yesterday (13 June 2012) at Daffodil
International University. The meeting was attended by Md. Sabur
Khan, Chairman, Daffodil International University (DIU); Dr. Syed Akhter Hossain,
head of the independent research team; Mohammad Kawsar Uddin, President, Bangladesh ICT Journalist Forum
(BIJF); Naznin Nahar, Editor, The Monthly TechWorld
Bangladesh and members of the research team- S.M. Mehdi Hassan, Razib Ahmed and
Biplob Kishore Deb. How the survey and research will be conducted was discussed
in the meeting.
Sabur Khan expressed his
satisfaction with the preparations of the independent research team and offered
them all out support.
The survey will be conducted
in two phases. In the first phase, the research team will conduct survey in
educational institutions.
The data, collected from the survey, will then be used to find out
how laptops are being used in education and business sector, problems faced by
the users and how the laptop manufacturers can solve their problems and deliver
them the right product. The
final result of the research outcome will be disseminated by major media and
publishing house.
Laptop has become very popular
in Bangladesh and would remain so for the foreseeable future. Currently, most of the major laptop brands are
present in Bangladesh. This research will fill the information gap between the
laptop brands and users. Dr. Syed Akhter Hossain has sought
cooperation of everyone to make this research a success.
To
conduct the research successfully, the independent research team will be
assisted by Daffodil International University (DIU), Bangladesh ICT Journalist
Forum (BIJF), and The Monthly TechWorld Bangladesh.
