US Open 2007: Venus Williams Reaches at Fourth Round

Venus Williams has won her third round match against Alyona Bondarenko easily. Wimbledon 2007 champion Venus won the match by 6-1, 6-2. So, the score line shows enough that how much influential Venus was against her Ukrainian opponents. The interesting thing is that in the next round, Venus Williams has to face fifth seed Ana Ivanovic who lost to Venus in the semi-final of last Wimbledon. Both Venus Williams and Ana Ivanovic are favorites in US Open 2007.

Tennis News reported:
Q. Talk about the match. Almost everything was going well, except for the serve, right?
VENUS WILLIAMS: Yeah. I definitely would like to have a higher first‑serve percentage. But it's not something that I'm worried about. I still feel like I can get my serve in. My second serve nowadays has a lot of kick. Definitely bouncing really high. So it was a good day.

So, now it seems that the fourth round match between Venus Williams and Ana Ivanovic is going to be a classic match because Ana Ivanovic will try to take revenge of her lose in Wimbledon. Venus was once a dominating figure in tennis world. So, she must be determined to get back her kingdom winning the US Open 2007 title.
