New Zealand is one of the major rugby playing teams in the world. Ahead of the Rugby world cup 2007, they are now preparing to win their second rugby world cup title in the upcoming Rugby world cup 2007. New Zealand won the first rugby world cup in 1987 and from then on they never missed semi final stage in any rugby world cup competition. However, for last 20 years, they could not win any other rugby world cup tournaments. So, New Zealand fans are hoping that their team will win the world cup title in France.
New Zealand is an all time favorite in rugby world cup and they always have a balanced team who has the ability to win against any team in the world. In Rugby world cup 2007, New Zealand will play in Pool C where they will play against Italy, Portugal and Romania. So, it is easy to realize that New Zealand is going to qualify for the quarter final stage very easily from Pool C. New Zealand should get into the quarter final stage as the pool champion. In the quarter final New Zealand may face Argentina or Ireland. However, anything can happen in the Pool stage matches. It is just a mere prediction. Here, I am giving the pool stage schedule of New Zealand rugby squad for Rugby world cup 2007 below:
Pool C
Date | Competing Teams | Venue | Referee |
8-9-2007 | New Zealand vs Italy | Marseille | Wayne Barnes (England) |
15-9-2007 | New Zealand vs Portugal | Lyon | Chris White (England) |

29-9-2007 | New Zealand vs Romania | Toulouse | Joël Jutge (France) |
New Zealand is a balanced side and anything less than a final appearance will be regarded as their failure in Rugby world cup 2007. Coach Graham Henry first declared 29 men squad and recently he added another name to make the squad full. Prop Greg Somerville has become the final member of the squad. Somerville fell in an injury during the Tri Nations tournament last year. Now, he is expected to be fit and play for the All Blacks.
